The quest for Kantanka to produce smaller cars has been the passion of most Ghanaians. Many says the smaller cars they believe will be very cheaper.
Others also advocates it can be used for commercial purposes like uber or taxi.
As much as Ghanaians desire to raise the bars of patronage for Kantanka cars, the CEO Kwadwo Safo Jnr has also explained into detail why the company is not currently producing such cars.
CEO, Kwadwo Safo Jnr admitted on KOD’s show ” LockdownGh With KOD” that Kantanka Automobile is currently not producing smaller cars because of the Ghanaian weather conditions and roads.
He again asserted that “making saloon cars or smaller cars are more hard to do than making the big ones” however the company’s love in producing 4×4 and SUV’s at their initial productions was the consideration of durability and customers interest.
He explained that, those smaller cars has no frame under it and are manufactured on Monocoque Frame technology where the entire frame network bears the load of the vehicle’s components.
Additionally, Kwadwo Safo Jnr explained that “it was ‘our’ first time coming into the automobile industry” so Kantanka Automobile has to build cars with good base considering the Ghanaian roads.
Aside all Kantanka Automobile will be producing smaller cars in future.
